New version of Windows Media Center is integrated in Windows 7. Windows 7 integrated a Gadget for Windows Media Center, Windows Power Shell and redesigned Calculator which included Programmer and Statistics modes along with unit conversion. Windows Security Center has been changed its name to Windows Action Center. Now this Windows Action Center do both work of security and maintenance of computer. The task bar has seen the major visual changes, where the Quick Launch tool bar has been replaced with the "Superbar" allowing applications to be pinned to the task bar. Buttons for pinned applications are incorporated with the task buttons.

Windows Vista included applications like Windows Movie Maker, Windows Photo Gallery Windows Mail and Windows Calendar which are not available in the Windows 7.
