About Microsoft Windows Versions


Microsoft produced the Microsoft Windows which is a series of graphical user interfaces(GUI) and software operating systems. On 20 November 1985 Microsoft introduced first operating environment name was given by Windows. Most recent or latest Windows client version is Windows 7. Windows Phone 7 is the most latest mobile operating system. Windows Server 2008 R2 is the most latest or recent server version.

Windows Versions


Windows1.0, Windows2.0 and Windows 2.1x
Chase Bishop who ic computer scientist designed first electronic device and project Interface Manafer model. On November 1983 was announced under the name "Windows".
On October 1987 Windows 2.0 was released. In this windows the improvements in memory management and user interface.Windows/386 and 386 virtual 8086 mode are two different flavors are released in Windows 2.1.

Windows 3.0 and Windows 3.1 were two improved design invented in 1990 and 1992 respectively.Windows 95 was next edition which is released in Auguest 1995. In June 1998 next windows come whose name was Windows 98. In May 1999 second version of Windows 98 released. Windows Me od Microsoft was released in September 2000 where Me stands for Millennium Edition. Next version was XPerience. On August 2001 the first Windows XP released. Retail sale starts from 25th October 2001 to January 2006 there were 400 million copies sold by Microsoft.
Next version is Windows Vista which was developed or completed on 8 November 2006 but it was released on January 30, 2007 worldwide. Latest windows released on 22 October 2009 for the retail was Windows 7.
